We are incredibly disappointed to announce that the Ukrainian Cheremosh Festival will not occur March 18-20, 2026 as planned. The Festival Planning Committee was notified very recently that we can no longer rent critical rehearsal and change room spaces within the Orange Hub. We could not secure an alternate site for this year’s festival after exhausting all efforts in searching the Edmonton Metro Area. As such, we have come to the difficult decision to postpone the 40th Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Festival instead of putting on a festival that does not meet our professional standards.
We are deeply saddened by this turn of events and look forward to welcoming you all again in the future. The Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Festival is about connection and celebrating Ukrainian heritage, and we were so looking forward to sharing that experience with you.

The LARGEST running Ukrainian Dance Festival Since 1984
The Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Festival is one of the LARGEST Dance Festivals of its kind in North America. It provides THOUSANDS of dancers with the opportunity to perform and learn in a professional and constructive environment.
Each year, the festival concludes with a “Show of Stars” production, with tickets open to the public, showcasing the top-ranking dances of the festival. We invite you to come and share in the experience!

2026 Festival Adjudicator
Veronika Kulykova is a Ukrainian dancer, choreographer, and teacher who spent eight unforgettable years performing with the world-famous Virsky National Honored Academic Dance Ensemble of Ukraine. A graduate of the Serge Lyfar Kyiv Dance Academy and the European University, her artistry is grounded in Ukrainian folk traditions while she continues to develop in modern, jazz, and classical techniques. Veronika has taught modern dance at the Academy, given workshops on turning technique and Ukrainian dance, and in 2023 launched her creative project CHACO Dancewear, featuring unique leotards with embroidery and appliqué inspired by Ukrainian heritage. Now based in Madrid, she continues to share her love for Ukrainian dance with students and artists around the world.
