Cheremshyna and Chumak II Vancouver Tour 2012


Cheremshyna and Chumak II embarked on a short yet memorable dance tour to Vancouver at the beginning of the summer.On July 1st they participated in Vancouver’s Canada Day Parade, enjoying attention(adoration?!) from onlookers and other parade participants prior to the parade start, and then performing for over 100,000 cheering spectators along the parade route. Snowflake Shaker A Success!


Thank you to everyone that participated in the Annual Snowflake Shaker February 4, it was one of our most successful Family Dance events to date.  We had a sell out crowd, with fantastic entertainment both by the dancers from Novice up to Cheremosh, as well as the music provided by Roman Brytan.  The meal, provided by St. Sophia Ukrainian Catholic Parish, was amazing.  Thank you to all of the silent auction donors and volunteers that helped with the event. We made it all in one piece


The wait is now over and Nicole, Lisa, Erik, Jocelyn, Graham, Mark,Levi, Lucas are here getting settled in. We are just waiting for the second group to arrive from London. The first flight was very smooth although most of the kids did not sleep very much and are very tired. Our accommodations are definitely adequate and our first meal was very good. Cheremshya and Chumak II Travel to Penticton


Thirty four Cheremshyna and Chumak II dancers traveled to Penticton in early August to perform at the Penticton Peach Festival.  After one day of travel and one rest day, the dancers prepared themselves for a hectic three days with a schedule that included five performances and an appearance in the Festival Parade.  The first performance proved to be a battle with the heat.  The soaring 40+C, resulted in some dancers being treated for heat exhaustion.
