Traveling home… but thinking ahead


As I am writing this, I am in a seat thousands of feet in the air somewhere over Greenland, traveling home from another successful Cheremosh endeavor. Cheremosh’s World Passport

Reflection on the win


Yesterday we did our last show and I now have a chance to look back on the tour as a whole. This tour has been an experience that I would never trade for anything. Cheremosh wins Golden Orpheus!


Cheremosh wins the GRAND PRIX “Golden Orpheus”, a gold medal and a diploma of ABSOLUTE EUROPEAN CHAMPION OF FOLKLORE for 2011! Mykola Kanevets was awarded a diploma for Maestro Academic.
The winners were announced tonight at the closing ceremonies after Cheremosh performed an exhilarating hopak. The award was completely unexpected! Mykola and the cast were thrilled and honored that their hard work throughout the festival was acknowledged and so greatly appreciated. Read more…
