A Time I’ll Never Forget


Going into this trip to Ukraine I wasn’t quite sure how things were going to pan out. I was nervous to be putting my body through that amount of intense work and also pretty apprehensive to jump into a country that is not like those of which I have vacationed before. Meeting Family in Lviv

My sister, Lauren, and I were very excited to get to Lviv on this tour – even if it was after an overnight train ride that was a little bumpy. We were going to meet our relatives there. My Ukraine Experience


Wow…where to begin? Saying this is “the tour of a lifetime” or “the best experience of my life” isn’t enough. We just finished our final performance and we’re all on such a high! The atmosphere right now is amazing…I LOVE each and every person in my second family :)
The joyful tears on stage following our final hopak was such a special moment I will never forget. Tears seems to be a common theme throughout this tour. Read more…

Ivano-Frankivsk: Learning the Hutsulia Style and Family Rendezvous

After the late night drive to Ivano-Frankivsk from L’viv, the best way to start the day was with a big cup of coffee at the beautiful Hotel Nadia. It was quite exciting to be heading to the first of our region specific workshops planned on our road trip!
At the Hutsulia Song and Dance Ensemble’s studio, we were welcomed by their director Ivan Koroliuk and another dancer named Luba who would lead us through the workshop. Read more…
