Cheremosh with Summer Jobs Canada is seeking a well organized, proactive individual for the position of Community Outreach Worker


The Community Outreach Worker will assist in marketing and promoting the Ukrainian Cheremosh Society’s upcoming fundraising events and the School of Dance programs, updating community information; and facilitate summer programming.
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at a community college or university and returning to  full-time studies in the following year. Read more…

Cheremosh Recognized in House of Commons

On November 17th, MP Peter Goldring made a Statement in the House of Commons recognizing Cheremosh’s 45th Anniversary. “Mr. Speaker, since 1969, the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company, founded by Chester and Luba Kuc, has enthralled thousands in Canada and around the world.”

Cheremosh mourns the loss of Olena Kanevets


With hearts filled with deep sorrow, the family of Olena Kanevets announces her passing on Monday, October 20, 2014, at the age of 46, following a courageous battle with cancer.
 Beloved wife of Mykola and cherished mother of Sasha, Olena will be sorely missed, and held dearly in their hearts forever.
 Olena was born in Koloyema, Ukraine on July 10, 1968. Read more…
