Today is my birthday. Hurray! I didn’t get a cake with candles or a night on the town but I did get something way better. I got to dance in Virsky Studios and learn choreography from Berezianka and We are Ukraine. In my humble opinion, it was the best birthday ever. We walked into Virsky Studios like children walking into Disneyland. We took pictures of everything from the traveling cases to the framed picture of Pavlo Virsky. Read more…

Today was our first full day in Kyiv. We all woke up bright and early and had a wonderful breakfast in the hotel restaurant. You could tell each dancer was so excited and anticipating the big day ahead of us. We took a bus to a dance studio in the city and were greeted outside by Mykola’s longtime friend and former schoolmate, Michael Zavarzin.

Never before have I been greeted at an airport by a stranger with a smile and a sign with my name and company logo on it. Today that happened in Kyiv, Ukraine.
My sister and I arrived in Kiev a few hours after the rest of the Cheremosh and much to our surprise, they sent us a driver! I felt pretty special when Max greeted us – even though he was expecting Morgan to be a man. Read more…
