Stacia Dolynchuck (Koper) Terwillegar Recreational Instructor

Stacia began her dance training at the early age of 3. She was very fortunate to grow up in a household immersed in Ukrainian Dance where both parents were dance teachers. Stacia began her dance carreer with the Kalyna Ukrainian dancers in 1989, then moved to the Parkland Ukrainian Dancers under the instruction of her parents in 1995. Along with Ukrainian dancing, Stacia practiced tap, jazz, lyrical dance at the Sandra Grey School of Dance. She also studied the Vaganova ballet technique while taking private lessons from Maria Mitrache-Bokor. Before auditioning for the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company in 2001, Stacia performed with both Yuna Volya and Nadia dance ensembles. Stacia continues to dance with Cheremosh and travels nationally and internationally with the renowned dance company. Most recently she performed in Ukraine during their Summer 2013 tour.

Stacia realized at a young age that teaching was her passion. At 16 she began teaching at the Mahia School of Ukrainian Dance before being asked to teach at for the Cheremosh School of Dance in 2005.

Stacia graduated from the University of Alberta in 2008 with a Bachelor of Education degree and is currently teaching grade one in Edmonton.
