Cheremosh Hires New Executive Coordinator

LydiaOn behalf of the Ukrainian Cheremosh Society, I am pleased to announce the hiring of Executive Coordinator, Ms. Lydia Migus, who will be working on a part-time basis for the Society.

Ms. Migus brings with her a wealth of experience within the community, university, government, and private industry sectors with knowledge of Ukrainian-Canadian culture and arts.  Most recently she worked at the Friends of the Ukrainian Village Society as Operations Manager and Ukrainian Canadian Congress-Alberta Provincial Council, as Provincial Coordinator.

Ms. Migus’ primary areas of responsibility during the term of her contract (from this point to approximately mid-August) will include Society office administration and development of file management, assisting with development of policies and procedures, and supporting the Promotions Director and Vice President-School of Dance with promotions and strategies.  The position reports to the Board of Directors’ Vice President-Human Resources.

The Executive Coordinator position is intended to help centralize and coordinate key Society information and activities to support our many dedicated volunteers in carrying out their work.  Funding for this position comes from Alberta Culture and Community Services’ Community Spirit Program.  Future funding may allow the position to be extended.

At this time I would like to thank Past-Presidents Jason Golinowski and Allison Scott, along with consultant Suzanna Brytan, for the development of, and hiring for, this position.
