Cheremosh Recognized in the Alberta Legislature


After getting wrapped up in the excitement of the performances at the 40th Anniversary Gala, NDP Leader Brian Mason, who represents Edmonton Highlands Norwood where the studio is located, invited Cheremosh to be his guests at the legislature on November 18th, 2010. Mr. Mason delivered a glowing members statement congratulating Cheremosh on our history and leadership in arts and culture and our contribution to Alberta and community through volunteerism and other activities. Art of Cheremosh Gala Review


The Art of Cheremosh Gala celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company and treated over 1000 people to a spectacular evening of dinner, dance, music, and celebration.
On October 30, 50,000 square feet of exhibition space at the Edmonton EXPO Centre was transformed into an elegant, intimate space, with ambient lighting and table dressings in the Cheremosh colours of red and blue. The focal point was the impressive performance stage that rivalled the size of Edmonton’s Jubilee Auditorium. Read more…

We made it all in one piece


The wait is now over and Nicole, Lisa, Erik, Jocelyn, Graham, Mark,Levi, Lucas are here getting settled in. We are just waiting for the second group to arrive from London. The first flight was very smooth although most of the kids did not sleep very much and are very tired. Our accommodations are definitely adequate and our first meal was very good. Board Room Dedicated to Chester and Luba Kuc


Recently the Cheremosh studio Board Room was renovated and dedicated to Cheremosh Founders, Chester and Luba Kuc. In addition, photographs of past and present Artistic Directors, Presidents, and an Honorary Members plaque were added to the room. It is a fitting tribute to Cheremosh leaders who have helped us reach a 40 year history!
